七名留英学生之家残忍被盗
8月17日下午，居住在伦敦北部Hendon地区的七名中国留学生放学回家，发现居所被盗贼洗劫一空。其中包括大量现金、数台笔记本电脑、Ipad、Iphone、照相机、留学生护照、学费汇票、鞋类、箱包、化妆品以及其他等生活用品。
Hendon地区警方接到报案后，虽前来调查，但表露出来的态度是见惯不怪，甚至还露出一句话：“损失不少，盗贼很职业”。社区有监控录像，似乎记录下盗贼的车牌号，同时也有当地邻居反映称，盗贼者是dark skin，这使留学生们马上联想到10天前发生在伦敦的骚乱。
留学生居住的小楼面向街面，盗贼是从小楼的后面砸破后门的窗户进入室内行窃的。所有房间的大衣橱、床边柜和箱包都被翻了个遍。盗贼选择中国留学生上课之际开车而来，显然是有备而来。
第二天，警察姗姗来迟取证，收集指纹，最终称没有取得任何指纹。学生不断提醒警方可调看监控录像，但结果仍是不了了之，令留学生倍感无助。
近期，Hendon地区已发生多起针对中国留学生的偷窃、抢劫和入室盗窃案，最终结果都是不了了之。这种大白天公然入室的盗窃行为让人很难想象这是在英国。
七名留学生当事人的呼吁书
伦敦时间8月17日下午，正值学校上课之际，我们7名中国留学生在伦敦Hendon的家被洗劫一空，一片狼藉，包括电脑、学费、生活费和护照，只剩贴身衣物。
英国，我们对你感到失望！伦敦，你让我们感到恐惧。暴乱！抢劫！偷窃！凶杀！这一切就在我们身边发生。我们对以后的留英生活感到迷茫、恐慌。我们是为了学习来到英国。现在我们在伦敦有家不敢回，濒临崩溃边缘，如何安心生活学习？
我们希望有关部门机构（英国政府、警方、学校）能够给予重视！为全英数十万中国留英学子创造一个安全、稳定的学习生活环境。

We are a group of seven Chinese students studying abroad in the Hendon District of London. While classes were in session on the afternoon of August 17, our residence was thoroughly plundered and everything was stolen, including computers, money for tuition and living expenses, and official documents, leaving us only with the clothes we were wearing.
We are terribly disappointed inEngland, andLondonin particular, as we have been thrown into an environment of chaos and fear. With mass murder, robbery, and riots occurring right before us, we have never been more concerned about our s
afety living inLondon. We have come toEnglandin hopes of enriching our education, but how can we successfully do so when we are deprived of a secure place to live?
We hope that we can receive some attention and support from English authorities and institutions, so that we, along with the approximately 100,000 Chinese students living abroad inEngland, can be assured a safe environment to study.
