篮球名人堂积分(入选可能性)计算方式

Building the Model For the Hall of Fame problem, I tried to use as many predictor variables as I could think of, but I did not use statistics that have not been kept for most of the NBA's history (e.g., steals). My player pool consisted of players who had played a minimum of 400 NBA games and had been eligible for at least one Hall of Fame election. After trying numerous models, my final model had eight predictor variables:


height (in inches)
last season indicator (1 if 1959-60 or before, 0 otherwise)
NBA points per game
NBA rebounds per game
NBA assists per game
NBA All-Star game selections
NBA MVP award shares
NBA championships won

All of the predictors listed above were significant at the 0.05 level except for NBA MVP award shares, which had a P-value of 0.07. However, every NBA MVP award winner who is eligible for the Hall of Fame has been elected, so I thought it was important to keep that term. Other than height, all of the predictors had positive coefficients. ABA statistics, honors, and championships were not important predictors of Hall of Fame status, which is why I only used NBA statistics in my final model. I don't like ignoring the ABA statistics, but that's what the voters have apparently done. Keep in mind that my goal was not to determine who should be in the Hall of Fame, but rather who is likely to be in the Hall of Fame.
The table below gives the parameter estimates of the coefficients for each of the seven predictors:

I will go through an example using Jo Jo White. Find the values of the eight predictor variables for White, multiply them by the coefficients given in the table above, and find the sum of the products:

名人堂是一幢55000平方英尺的三层楼房，真正的性质是一个篮球博物馆，对外开放且参观者络绎不绝。主要陈列的物品有篮球史料，文史，篮球创始以来每个时代的文字描述，自从媒体途径普及至今的录像带、光碟等资料。名人堂拥有给参观者感受气氛的小篮球场，还有影音资料放映的影院，如果参观者愿意可以在那里现场感受经典赛事或者黑白无声电影时代的篮球视频。
名人堂博物馆形式上是开放的，名人堂人选形式上也是如此。但是进入博物馆只需要驱车沿着91号公路行驶就可以到达，但是希望自己的照片放在名人堂供奉的人物中间被别人参观却需要付出极大的努力。
首先，入选名人堂的资格是完全开放的，理论上来说，只要是为篮球事业做出过杰出贡献的人，无论男女年龄肤色种族都有进入名人堂的可能性。可是，事实上美国作为世界第一篮球大国傲视众生，当真能够达到名人堂标准的海外人士少之又少。
其次，名人堂的入选标准严格，无论是球员、教练抑或裁判，想进入名人堂都必须等到退役后5年，教练的入选资格更为苛刻，必须执教25年以上的教练才有提名资格。
再次，即便是被提名之后，名人堂入选资格的审核过程几乎苛刻。第一轮搜审查必须经过7人初审小组中的5人通过，才会递交复审委员会，递交的时候，材料包括了该球员从出生到退役几乎求场内外的所有表现，以及初审小组的意见。接着，复审委员会将定期或者不定期讨论初审通过的名单，24名复审委员会成员不少于18人通过，那这位提名者才算真正意义被名人堂接纳。
上述的门槛之高让名人堂成为了超过50大巨星或者球衣号码退役之类更高的荣誉，审核的时间漫长而且严格也注定了名人堂资格含金量较高，即便是退役已久的“眼镜蛇”沃西与摩西-马龙也只不过分别与2003年和2001年入选名人堂，那这个资格的荣耀程度更可想而知。
可以肯定的是，未来几年内的名人堂会越发壮大，这是由于84到86届乔丹领军的那一批天皇巨星都已经退出历史舞台，而且他们大多具有提名名人堂资格，随口举例就有乔丹、奥拉朱旺、尤因、巴克利等等。对于球员来说，名人堂永远是伟大的丰碑，也是对于球员生涯的肯定，是除了冠军戒指之外最好的认可。
