Position Title: Sales Associate
Reports to: Store Manager
Department: Retail
I. Primary Purpose:
To achieve sales generation through delivering excellence in all areas of customer
service, providing a broad base of knowledge on all products. He/She will perform a
variety of operational activities assigned by Store Management (e.g. merchandising,
housekeeping, cash wrap procedures, etc.)
II. Areas of Responsibility:
A. Sales Generation and Customer Service
< Successfully complete Quick-Start Sales Training self study program, and/or
Psychology of Selling, to develop excellence in selling skills.
< Determine customers’ needs by asking appropriate open-ended questions and
suggesting additional products to expand sales.
< Demonstrate expert knowledge of products including leather product construction,
care, features and benefits, and current fashion trends using the Product Manual
and Tools of the Trade.
< Achieve consistent individual sales productivity (total sales, units per transaction,
sales per hour, average $ per sale, and conversion).
B. Operations
< Read, understand, and comply with all policies/practices, and maintain standards
of procedure in the following key areas:

Safety & loss prevention
Merchandise handling and presentation

Housekeeping and store upkeep
Cash wrap procedures
?
Stock room work
C. General
< Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Management Team.
III. Work Relationships:
Work with the Store Management Team and other Sales Associates.
Interacts with other stores, field management, and New York Office personnel.
IV. Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma preferred. Retail and/or customer service experience desired.
Prefer employees to be 18 years of age or older.
